Installing Splash Frog

Database Setup
First, you will need to download a copy of Splash Frog. It will be downloaded in a .ZIP format. Unzip the file, and upload its contents into the directory where you will be installing the system control panel (example: panel.my-domain.com). Once everything is uploaded, make sure the following folders and files are able to be written to:
  • install/
  • file_history/
  • modules/
  • site_modules/
  • templates/
  • sf_framework/sf_init/db_conf.php
  • sf_framework/tempdir/

Next, make sure you have a created MySQL database and a valid MySQL Username and Password.

Once you have completed this, open your Internet Browser and go to the install directory (example: http://panel.my-domain.com/install/). The installation script will then begin. You will be asked to provide the database connection information (host, username, password, and the name of the database) as well as define a prefix for the database tables. Once the database connection information is confirmed, the installation process will then create the necessary system database tables and have it populated with all the initial information.

Next the installation script will ask you to create your first system administrator. Enter in a username, a password, and a valid e-mail address. Once this information is entered in and saved you will have successfully installed Splash Frog.

The installation script will then attempt to remove itself from the server, as to prevent any accidental re-running of the installation script. If it is unable to, the script will display a warning, and you must manually delete the install/ folder and all files within it.
