Overview

For each of the websites within Splash Frog you can create "Administrative Groups". These groups hold the access and ability permissions for all the administrators that will belong to that group. You can create as many Administrative Groups as you want for each website.

Group Permissions

The Administrative Group Form

The Administrative Group Permissions are broken down into different parts:

Webpage Publishing

You can have administrators belonging into this group either:

  1. Can modify content, but cannot have it publish right away until another administrator approves of it.
  2. Publsih their own content, but not approve the content from other administrators.
  3. Publish and approve webpage content from themselves and other administrators of that website.

If the approving group is set to either the 1st or 2nd option, then you must also select an administrative group that has approving permissions to be notified whenever content is submitted for approval.

Permission Assignment

You can specify if administrators within the group are able to assign access permissions of webpages, files, and folders to other administrative groups. If you have this as they cannot assign, then they are only able to have access permissions set to either themselves or open to everyone.

Override Permissions

You can specify if the administrators within the group must obey the set webpage, file, and folder access permissions or they can ignore and view all webpages, files, and folders within the system.

File Upload

You can specify if the administrators within the group are able to upload files to the server or not.

Content Deletion

You can specify if the administrators within the group are able to delete webpages, files, and folders from the server or not.

Section Access

You can specify what area's within the website's dashboard will administrators within the group are able to have access to. If you have any modules installed, they will also be listed out here as well. Any sections that are not checked the administrators will not see their respective tabs at the top of the control panel.

Deleting an Administrative Group

If you choose to delete an administrative group, you will need to manually re-assign any administrators that belongs in the administrative group to another before they are able to gain access to the website again. Also, any webpages, files, and folders that only belong to the administrative group you are deleting will need to be manually re-assigned to other administrative groups. You can do this by having an administrator that is a Level 1 or 2, or an administrator that has a group permission to override access permissions do the re-assigning.
